This test consisting of eighteen brief questions who can help you determine if you may need to seek the help of a mental health professional for the diagnosis and treatment of depression, or for monitoring depression.

 Instructions: You can use this test to monitor your weekly mood, as well as to consult with your psychotherapist about the change of symptoms from one to another meeting. If you got the results…

0 – 9 —- You are not depressed at all: According to your answers to the questionnaire, the result says that you are not currently suffering from depression. You do not need to understand this as a diagnosis or as a treatment proposal. You experience normal falls and verticals in life.

10 – 17 —- Possible moderate depression – It seems that you experience some depressive symptoms that are commonly encountered in people in the general population. It is uncertain whether you suffer from these symptoms to the extent that you would need further diagnosis and treatment. You should not take the results as a diagnosis report or recommendation for treatment. Consult a mental health professional if you feel depressed or have difficulties in daily functioning.

18 – 21 —- Border Depressive Symptoms – You appear to have some depressive symptoms that are common to the general population, but are confined to a possible depressive episode. It is uncertain whether these symptoms are sufficient to require additional diagnosis and appropriate treatment. You should not understand the results of the questionnaire as a diagnosis report or recommendation for any treatment. Consult experienced mental health professionals if you have depressed feelings or difficulties in daily functioning.

22 – 35 —–Mild to moderate depression – Your answers suggest a possible mild to moderate depression. You should not use these results as a diagnosis of any kind or recommendation for treatment. However, it may be necessary to ask for additional consultations with mental health professionals if you are having difficulty in day-to-day operation or if you are jumping deeper answers.

36 – 53 —— Moderate to severe depression – According to the results you received from this questionnaire, you may suffer from moderate to severe depression. People who respond similarly, usually have diagnosed depression and require professional treatment. You should not use these results as a diagnosis of any kind or recommendation for treatment. However, it is advisable for you to seek additional diagnosis and appropriate treatment from mental health professionals to exclude the possibility of depressive disorder.

54 and more.—–  Severe depression – According to the results you received from this questionnaire, you may suffer from severe depression. People who respond similarly, usually have a diagnosed diagnosis and the need for appropriate treatment. You should not use this result as a diagnosis of any kind, or a recommendation for treatment. However, it is advisable and most likely useful to seek immediate consultation and assistance from experienced mental health professionals.
